Chinese (again)

I've had a very busy weekm unfortunately very little of it hobby-related and succumbing finally to a heavy cold meant what little time I had left meant I only managed about two hours tital painting, mostly in fits and starts of about fifteen minutes a time.
I have though managed to progress my Chinese somewhat and as has been said many times, even a little progress is still progress.

[My Chinese contingent in their current state]
[The Chinese Lady with a fan has had a bit of improvement]
[With additional firepower too, secreted by her fan]
All of these figures still require shading and some high-lighting; normally at this stage I give figures a matt spray varnish but I'm still awaiting a dry. gust-free day before progressing further.

Unfortunatekly that's all I have for this week, pitful I know, but at least it's something !

Thanks for taking the time to visit, as always your comments are both welcomed and appreciated.

  1. Any progress is good progress Joe, and can see that here. Sorry to hear about the cold, but unfortunately is the time of year for them, hope you feel better soon.

    1. Thanks Dave, at least I'm a little nearer to finishing these off. Due to a long-term illness I'm very susceptible to colds, so it's nothing new !

    1. Thanks Douglas, any progress is progress in my book too.
I had thought of the old Airfix 1/32 footballers too, but I have a feeling that they're way beyond my sculting skills, even if they were available - Maid Marian on the other hand...

    2. Occasionally available on ebay at unsilly prices, get the plasticene and banana oil out, lets have a real blast of nostalgia. Sculpting skill wasn't an issue then, only too glad to make something that wasn't available.

    1. Haha, thanks Ivor, you were the first to spot the obvious in the previous post and o course it was in my mind all along. I wish though I'd planted the gun before puting the fan in place.
