Sojourn

I haven't actually been on holiday, s the title may suggest, but having missed posting last week it feels like I have been.
The truth of the matter was that I forgot to post and by Wednesday, when I realised I hadn't posted I decided that I wouldn't bother.  I had to report about two games of gladiator combat  that we'd played, though I only mnaged one photogrpah (on the right)  before my camera decided it needed its battery charging !
This week's post was going to be about the "Battleground 2022" show in Stockton, but real life conspired against me getting there.
This post, such as it is was meant to be done yesterday, but I forgot (again), probably due to the unwanted knowledge that I now have three additional Doctor, Clinic and hospital visits in December.
Unfortunately that's all I've got for this week.
(The photograph is two Gladiators, representing two provocators after one has had their first move.

I'll try and get my players along again this week  after failing to do so last week,

That's it then for another week.

  1. Sorry to hear about the additional appointments Joe, and I hope they all go well for you. Also that you missed going to a show, I do miss them myself, but don't miss the additional pain. Good to hear you managed some games (even if the battery died on the camera) and hope you can get some more in this week. Was good to see a post from you, as it keeps the rest of us aware you are okay.

    1. Thanks Dave, all the appointments are ore or less routine, a telephone one and five minute one with just one 'proper' hospital appointment. THe loss of photos for the last session was no big deal - gladiator bout photographs are pretty boring really. More games are now definetly on course for this week (yay). Thanks for the concern to.

  2. Joe, it happens to us all. Although I've been getting lots of games in the past couple of weeks, my paint table has sat without me. All in good time however as with the Christmas break coming, there should be some time for some hobby painting! Good luck with the appointments & a nice present from them would be an 'all clear'!

    1. Thanks Terry for such kind thoughts. My .paint table is an almighty mess and unlikely to be used in the forseeable future.
I'm hoping for good outcomes in all my various visits, but one may lead to an operation (which I'd like).

  3. Best wishes for health!

I was in the hospital last month (kidney block).
The little bastard was too big to come out on his own and had to be operated on
