Final attempt at doing something: Another view of the Bank

This has been a very frustrating exercise, getting anything close to a post, I doubt very much I can keep this up. Just getting these few pictures onto something that looks half-decent has been a two-hour nightmare.

Bank and problems

Continuing with my clean up of my old (very old) western buildings, I've managed to get 'down' through the collection and finally reached two of the larger buildings, namely the County Jail house and the Bank.

 I've spent more than enough time, trying to get the new look Blogger working, on both Firefox (still not allowing me to upload photos) and Explorer, which allows me to upload photos (after I changed the default htttp optio ('<>' button), but  the machine wants to put them whereever it wants, despite my efforts.

Apart from that and the fact is slow, I guess it's progress of a sort.

 In other news, RL is a bit of a downer too.

Having had high hopes of being able to post something this week,  that too was dashed upon the rocks of Blogger.

Giving up

The new blogger format is proving more challenging than I though tit would, after an hour or so of trying to put a single photograph where I wanted to on the editing screen is proving tedious at best and very time consuming. 've tried the same task using both Firefox and Explorer to do the same task and abandoned all hope of posting. Even using the older form of blogger hasn't been successful. It's all probably down to my lack of techy skill and I'm probably doing soemthing wrong, maybe I need to change setting (or something). The new blogger is not, imho, very user friendly nor (to me at least) intuitive, so I've taken the decision not to struggle through, trying to get a 'proper' post. When I've cslmed down a bit and have done a bit of googling, I may well come back to blogging, but this week is a bust. Sorry again for there being no 'proper' post, sadly it now looks like I'll not get to the 500 posts mark. If you're reading this, then thanks and hopefully this is adieu rather than goodbye.

Dustoff !

Nothing to do with evacuating casualties , but rather my last week's start on removing the dust and grime from my western collection. Using a bowl of soapy luke-warm water the results were much better than I'd ever expected. The limits of the bowl-size I was using and the size of several of the larger building proved to be a bit of a challenge and the ampunt of space I needed was beyond what I had in my now very overcrowded games room - but I'm getting there.

With just another three or four buildings, another two bags and a box of figures to clean, I can then get on to repairing and restoring, the buildings to their original state of grandeur blandness and mediocrity.
