Trinity City
Having cleaned all my western buildings (or so I thought), I discovered another two buildings, a general store made from a Timpo store, doubling its size.
The other made from a Timpo Saloon is my undertakers.

The Store
After clearing off my table of "Jimland" detritus I set out "Trinity City"as best as I could remember.
Here's the photos
Originally Trinity stood on a table 8'x 6', cuurently it is sitting on 6'6" of my four foot wide table.
There's a lot of repair work to do on these buildings.
That's it for this week, it's been difficult typing without seeing what I was typing
-Hence the stunted sentences.
Thanks for taaking the time to visit, comments are welcomed and appreciated as always.
Great looking town Joe, and the additional buildings add to the atmosphere. Have to keep reminding myself that these are larger scale and deserve more credit for all the work
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave, Trinty was only slightly larger than shown (I still have two or three unused buildings)and a railline behind the Hotel.
DeleteThey really were thrown together with whatever I had available and as quickly as possible too, si we could play a game.
Lovely looking table, Joe. Well worth dusting down and setting up, imho. Thanks for taking the time to do it :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Blaxx, this exercise has brought back many good memories of many games, now if only I had the write-ups !
DeleteHope you can get some games in on it all. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Douglas, that's my sentiment too, though reliving past games won't be the same solo.
DeleteExcellent, get it cleaned up, get some cowpokes walking down Main Street get some lead flying and give us a game report:)
ReplyDeleteLayout looks good even if it was difficult so hopefully it will get easier.
Cheers
Thanks Vagabond, I'm getting into the habit now of this new Blogger, but it's still hard. No doubt there is some way of seeing what I've typed!
DeleteOnce the buildings are repaired and their inhabitants retreived then I'm sure some 'lead' will fly !
And that's great looking table!
ReplyDeleteThanks you Michal, it only good if you don;t inspect closely.
DeleteLooks great Joe!
ReplyDeleteThanks MJT, I'm just pleased it's all survived as well as it has.
DeleteThis looks absolutely FANTASTIC Joe - and would be my preferred "scale" for western gunfight games. The fact that you're reading The Rules With No Name has saved me recommending them to you :-)
ReplyDeleteAs for your Blogger woes, have you checked the toolbar at the top of the page? The far left icon is either "<>" or a little pen symbol. If you can see "<>" then you're in HTML mode and will only see gobbledigook when you type. Click on it and you'll have the option of clicking on the pen symbol (which is labelled "Compose Mode" or summat similar), and then what you type will appear on the screen.
Really hope this helps.
Thanks WA, I think I may welll like TRWNN; I rea dmany aars using them and they're simple enough for a good game.
DeleteThanks fo rthe tips on the new (rubbish) blogger. I'm sur I've used this before but couldn;t remember what it was for. What I was typing did appear on the screen until it ran the width of the screen then disappeared. Further experimentation needed I guess.
What a treausure.Looks real good and to play Western-games must be very nice using these.Very nice report and I got a lot of inspiration.Thankyou very much Joe for sharing
ReplyDeleteThanks Ptr, like many kids my age I grew up with westerns and had cowboy figures from the age of 7. I think I've never really grown up since and still enjoyed my western games - all of which I think I'm trying to recreate for nostalgia sake if nothing else.
DeleteExcellent Joe I can see the cattle stampeding down main street already 😊
ReplyDeleteThanks Frank, kit was always a dream to have cattle, the nearest we got was a sheep drover - led to great unrest with the many cow-hands in the town!
DeleteLovely looking table, nice to see it resurrected! It looks like a great skirmish set up!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks Iain, there were regular gunfights in the town, way back in the past !
DeleteLots of Oldies But Goodies!! A small treasure you got there :)
ReplyDeleteThanks BM, by ebay prices they really are treasure !
