As promised here's the inside of my SuperDuperMart.
From top-left going clockwise:
In the top left corner is a toilet, then an office followed by the main storage area, all at the back of the building. Though not obvious on this view, the right wall of the storage area has the shuttered door.
Following on to the guts of the building is the sales floor, with my fruit and veg stall from a previous post. The front door can also be seen here.
The two adjacent shelving units contain various products before we come to the tills and the exit.
To the left of the deli area is the employees entrance.
"Aisle four" would be the far one. |
"Drinks Shelves" |
"Frozen Foods" |
"Deli Counter" |
The left-hand poster is entitled "Cheeses of the World" though it is really difficult to make out when it's been reduced to such a small size.

That's it for this week, I hope the wait to see the inside of the store was worth it for you.
Finally let me welcome my latest follower to my blog "Grigork" and as always, comments are both welcomed and appreciated.
That is just pure WIN! Superb I love all of it I really can't pick one bit that Isn't just awesome.
ReplyDeleteWell done mate.
Thanks Brummie, it's bit to rough and ready in places for me.
DeleteThis is just amazing! I love the detail you put into all of this. Quite inspiring! Well done indeed!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks LS, I wanted to put a lot more into this than I did, put I was really bored with this project.
DeleteWow, just wow! As I speed scrolled down the first time, last 2 picks looked like a real thing. Once I get to build my interior, I'll make sure I shamelessly copy some of that! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I've inspired you.
DeleteWow thats fantastic, well worth the wait.
ReplyDeleteIm looking forward to your next build
Unfortunately, my next builds are mere shells.
DeleteThose are all individual tins, bottles, packets &c, right? I cannot begin to imagine the amount of work needed for that level of detail!
ReplyDeletetins and bottles are indeed individually made, a bottle took about 5 mins to make. the tins came "ready made" so to speak.
DeleteThat is bloody fsntastic. So impressed, I could examine it for hours. Hoe'd you get the individuality of the bottles etc?
ReplyDeleteThanks Irqan, bottles all made individually from BBQ skewers, tins from filters and the major part of the packaging is scored foamboard. Deli produce is all off-cuts of cork.
DeleteI'll devote next week's blog to the making of the bits and pieces of the model.
Thanks ray, at times it did indeed seem like work.
ReplyDeletePossibly the biggest compliment I can pay you is this, Joe - I want to game in there! Absolutely fabulous build. There is just so much to admire about this model.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bryan, your compliment means a lot.
DeleteLove your work!
ReplyDeleteAmazing!
Thanks DJ
DeleteGreat inside and great building! Well done!

Sapper
Thanks SJ, I suspect it will feature in many games.
DeleteDude this is simply amazing.
ReplyDeleteLove every inch of it. Excellent details.
Thanks Oli, it really wasn't that difficult,I hope it inspires others.
DeleteYou have done really well Joe the mart looks soooo good, with so much detail, WOW job well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot TE.
DeleteJoe, that is simply awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave
DeleteJoe ... what can I say? I am in awe of the patience that you must have to be able to individually create all those packets, bottles, tins, shelves, counters, clear deli counter covers(wow!) and all the other bits.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are righteously proud of the wonderful game scape that you have created here. I have to go now, as I don't think I'm worthy of looking at this superb model
Colin, you make me blush, most of the packeges etc are scrap bits.
DeleteIt doesn't matter if they are made of scrap! They still look great, and even more kudos to you - IMO - for the ability to convert scrap into excellent looking props! Well done sir!
DeleteMany thanks
DeleteWow, just wow. Excellent work!
ReplyDeleteThanks DM
DeleteYou sir have just blown me away! That is some incredible detail which must have too AGES to do. It puts all the PDF buildings to shame! It really does look so much better with individual items on the real shelves! Again, amazing work, it really is the best supermarket I've seen :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rovanite, the detailing of the packages etc.only took a long time because of the sheer boredom in doing them.
Deleteamazing detail, you inspire me!
ReplyDeleteThank you Papa.
DeleteWow!!! Simply outstanding work Joe....
ReplyDeleteReally well done....
Thanks Gnotta
DeleteJudas Priest! That is ridiculously great work. Frozen foods, graphs on the office wall, it's unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteThanks BF, I did have plans for some more detailing, but boredom set in.
DeleteJust saw your most recent post
